Venezuela rejects violent actions against the Palestinian people

The People and the Government of Venezuela expressed their strong rejection of the violent actions against the Palestinian people, as an Israeli reaction to the massive march in Gaza in protest of the arbitrary transfer of the US embassy to Israel, to the city of Jerusalem.

Through an official communiqué, the Bolivarian Government reiterates its support for the cause of the Palestinian people and the right to retake the territories that historically have belonged to it.

The document expresses the rejection of the actions of the US Government in conjunction with the Israeli occupying force, measures that it considers illegal and contrary to international law.

Last December, US President Donald Trump announced the controversial decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and begin the process of moving the US embassy to that city.

During today’s journey, the protests in the hours leading up to the transfer of the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem have left at least 55 Palestinians dead and a total of 2,771 injured, as reports the RT news agency.
