The Bolivarian Government rejected the recent statements by the new Secretary of State of the United States, Mike Pompeo, on Venezuela, on the grounds that they reaffirm the supremacist policy of the Donald Trump administration.

“The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela categorically rejects the recent statements of the Secretary of State of the United States of America, Mike Pompeo, about our country, which reaffirm the supremacist policy and the continuous aggressions of the Donald Trump regime against the Venezuelan people and the Constitutional Government of President Nicolás Maduro
Mr. Pompeo shows false concern about the reality of Venezuela, while hiding the perverse effects of the application of the unilateral coercive measures of his Government on the Venezuelan economy.
The administration of Donald Trump incurs in erratic maneuvers, typical of the arrogance and despair of imperialist politics, to fail again and again before the will of a free and independent people, such as the Venezuelan.
The institutions of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela guarantee that no exogenous action prevents the citizens of Venezuela, in full exercise of their sovereignty, from democratically deciding their future on May 20 at the polls, in strict adherence to the constitution and laws”
