Maduro denounced persecution against Luiz Inácio “Lula” Da Silva

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, denounced the persecution of the international oligarchy against Luiz Inácio “Lula” Da Silva: “Lula is a political prisoner of the judicial and media oligarchy of Brazil and we denounce this from Venezuela. We know they want to prevent Lula from being a presidential candidate”.

At the Meeting with Peasants and Colombians, in support of President Nicolás Maduro and as a Tribute to Jorge Eliécer Gaitan, the Venezuelan Head of State referred to the recent capture against the former President of the Federative Republic of Brazil.

The President indicated that the oligarchies, with the support of the imperialist Government of the United States, are behind the criminal persecution against “Lula” Da Silva.

“We denounce this from Venezuela,” said the Venezuelan President.

“And to there in the cell of 15 square meters where they have criminally kidnapped Lula we sent him the message of support from the people of Venezuela: ¡Have strength, Lula!, ¡Long live Lula Free! “, emphasized President Maduro.

He described how we have seen these days in a shameless way how former President “Lula” Da Silva was captured: “It is unimaginable for anyone who has a bit of coherence, of decency, to think of “Lula” Da Silva behind bars. Long live Lula! ”

“Lula” is the best president that Brazil has had in all its history, an honest, humble man, the first metallurgical worker President. A leader not only of Brazil, but of Latin America and the world, Lula is a reference in the whole world, “recalled Maduro.

However: “The oligarchy, as there are presidential elections this year, made a rigged, false trial, a totally unfair process against Lula”.

“Do you know why?” He asked to those present: “Because in October this year there are presidential elections and Lula, absolutely would win the Presidential elections in Brazil, and Lula returns, because the people wants the people to govern, because the right wing got to take away their rights. Rights to health, to housing, health, education, work, social benefits”.

To the Colombian community present, he said by way of reflection: “This is very important, you Colombians who accompany me, you who live this every day in Colombia.”
