President Maduro: I will get to the Summit of the Americas to tell the truth about Venezuela

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, assured on Thursday that he received from the President of Peru, Pedro Pablo Kuczynski, the invitation to participate in the Summit of the Americas to be held in March this year.

“By air, land or sea I will get to the Summit of the Americas with the truth of the Homeland of Simón Bolívar and Antonio José de Sucre, rest assured on that”, he said.

During an international press conference with national and foreign media, he expressed that it is necessary that right-wing groups “come to an agreement”.

“May the Government of Peru get its axt together, I have several letters that have arrived, yesterday at 4:00 pm, arrived at Miraflores Palace this letter inviting me to the Summit of the Americas, they want to repeat with Venezuela the treatment they gave to our sisterly Cuba”, he said.

He said that Venezuela does not depend on the Lima group at all, it is a total and absolutely independent country.

“Latin America is diverse, and we must learn to coexist in the diversity of cultures, political ideas and existing ideologies as a product of the struggles of our peoples, of all these years, the right wing must have political tolerance”, expressed Maduro.

The Head of State also ratified his willingness to attend an Unasur Summit as proposed by the President of Bolivia, Evo Morales.

“If you want to talk about Venezuela, call for a Summit of the Unasur countries and I will attend, to defend the truth of Venezuela (…) we will meet, let’s restore relations of respect, communication and diplomacy, the arrival of the right wing to Latin America imposed an ideological racism against the Bolivarian Revolution”, he said.
