Venezuela rejected coercive measures imposed by the British Government on Venezuelan officials

This Thursday the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela rejected the decision of the British Government, through its Ministry of Finance, to impose coercive and unilateral measures on three Venezuelan officials.

This was announced this Thursday by Chancellor Jorge Arreaza, through a statement published on his account on the Twitter social network @jaarreaza:

“Given the announcement of the arbitrary measures of the United Kingdom against Venezuelan officials, reasonable doubt arises about the relationship between these decisions and the seizure of 32 tons of gold from the Venezuelan people in that country, thanks to the irresponsible attitude of British institutions” , says the note.

The document denounces that from London inconceivable obstacles have been placed so that Venezuela can dispose of its legitimate resources, deposited in the United Kingdom, in order to face the unexpected Covid-19 pandemic with greater efficiency.

“Venezuela denounces before the international community these actions with criminal consequences by the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, while demanding respect for its independence, legal order and above all, the well-being of its free and sovereign people” , ends the statement.
