Denounced plan to create false positive on the border with Colombia to threaten peace in Venezuela

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reported that was detected a plan to create a false positive on the Colombian border against Venezuela and against peace.

“I have received information from an extremely reliable A-1 source in Colombia, with physical evidences of this plan to trigger a false positive against Venezuela and against the peace of the two countries”, said the Head of State during a press conference with international meetings held at Miraflores Palace.

He explained that the Minister of People’s Power for Defense, G / J Vladimir Padrino López, has the evidences and was instructed to communicate it officially and in great detail to his Colombian counterpart.

The Venezuelan leader urged these evidences to form part of the work agenda for the special peace and security plan for the border between Colombia and Venezuela, proposed from Caracas.

When asked about the movements of Colombian and Brazilian troops to the border with Venezuela, the highest State authority described this action as part of the psychological war against Venezuela.

“We are here to guarantee peace, security. So it seems to me that all the movement that has been made from the point of view of the psychological campaign has fallen into a vacuum. In the end what has prevailed and will prevail between Colombia, Brazil and Venezuela is peace”, he said.

The President expressed his confidence that neither the Colombian army nor the Brazilian army want an armed conflict with Venezuela.
