The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, proposed to advance the elections of the National Assembly (AN) for this 2019.
He made the proposal in the occasion of celebrating a year of his presidential re-election on May 20, 2018, in the speech he offered at the coming of a rally to Miraflores Palace.
In the heat of his people, the Head of State assured that he is willing to take on the challenge of going to elections for the National Assembly: “We are going to legitimize the only institution that has not been legitimized in the last 5 years”, he said.
Then he stressed that the ANC is the greatest guarantee of political stability that has the people of Venezuela: “The struggle of this time is admirable, the battle we are taking for political stability and to strengthen the People’s Power. The ANC is the greatest guarantee of political stability!”
Likewise, the Executive indicated that it will not surrender to the US empire:”Imperialism attacks us every day, they persecute us financially so we cannot collect our accounts in the world, and they believe that this way we are going to surrender. Never, there is no way that this people will surrender to you!”
