Delcy Rodríguez calls for the consolidation of the civic military union against imperialist attacks

The Chairwoman of the National Constituent Assembly (ANC), Delcy Rodríguez, highlighted on Monday the need to consolidate the civic-military union under a single political direction to overcome the attacks of the US Government, which is holding a financial blockade against Venezuela.

“There is no other option than to become a single political force to tell the empires that they will not be able to enter our country and seize our immense resources”, she said.

She stressed that the economic war will be defeated with the civic-military union, promoting national production “So as not to continue depending on the industrialized countries and return to the technological colony to which the country was subjected in the Fourth Republic”.

In the act of celebration of the Bicentennial of the incorporation of the eighth star of the National Flag, she highlighted the work of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, for following the independence path bequeathed by Commander Hugo Chávez.

She stressed that the spirit of (Independence hero Manuel) Piar, like that of Bolívar and Chávez, remain more valid than ever, recognizing the successful decision of the national leader with the call to the Constituent Assembly, which surprised the imperial forces and restored peace to Venezuela.

She highlighted that on this date the struggle, resistance and union of the Venezuelan people against imperialist strategies is also celebrated.

“Venezuelan people, let’s raise the flag with its eight stars to defeat the imperial forces”, she said.

She mentioned that the people have to prepare for the upcoming municipal elections next December 10 for the defense of the Homeland.
