The National Constituent Assembly (ANC) is called to rebuild the economic balance of the country, said this Sunday the president of this highest instance of popular power, Delcy Rodríguez.
During the “Con Amorin” (With Amorin) program, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, she pointed out that soon the Venezuelan people will see concrete results. “The ANC will accompany with great force the economic actions promoted by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, who presented to the plenipotentiary a series of of laws that are being studied”, she said.
She indicated that the Constituent Power has been a forceful factor in the Venezuelan economy whose contribution has had repercussions on political and social peace. “The Venezuelans gave a clear message and that is that they are not going to be blackmailed with the economy. The country has the needed resources to be a powerful nation and we have demonstrated it, even in spite of the savage financial blockade imposed by the United States”, she emphasized.
She recalled the attack on the currency, made in order to weaken the economy and to induce the rise of inflation to reduce the purchasing power of the population, and thus annihilate the production of the market
In this regard, she said that the challenge that is facing the Venezuelan people, as a single force: the National Executive, productive and business sectors, the Constituent Assembly and regional and local leaders, is to combat that economic war imposed from abroad, as well as to contain the cravings of the right wing to cause a social implosion.
She also said that this economic war, designed by the imperial enemy, changes its mechanisms so that the economy is in crisis, so that laws must adapt to these mutations in order to defeat it.
She assured that the Constituent Assembly is a space to solve the country’s problems, above all to rebuild a fabric of the economic equilibrium that the Venezuelan is so concerned about. Rodríguez stressed that the ANC was called, among its strategic objectives, to design and build a new economic model that transcends oil rent. She confirmed that this body is committed to the diversification of the Venezuelan economy.
