The People’s Power Minister for Defense, General in Chief, Vladimir Padrino López urged the Venezuelan people to wait for the results of the regional elections this October 15 with patience, while urging political actors to respect the will of the people from Venezuela.
“I ask the people of Venezuela to patiently await the results of the CNE, and I also ask the political responsibility of the actors involved in these elections to respect the will of the people of Venezuela and also respect the principal arbiter, which is the National Electoral Council”, he said.
From the headquarters of the Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (CEOFANB), he assured that democracy is strengthened with the universal, free and secret vote, sending a strong message to internal and external factors that promote violence, proving that Venezuela wants to consolidate peace by the electoral route.
“We have seen a people that has taken to the streets again … the people of Venezuela have given an example to the whole world … the vote has strengthened democracy, it has again said No to violence, No to the bullets, and has said again Yes to peace”, he said.
Padrino López sent a congratulatory message to the state security forces, which in an unified manner have maintained the public security in the context of the electoral process.
