Maduro: We have achieved the highest levels of employment in the last 20 years


President Nicolas Maduro said on Tuesday night that despite the economic situation in the country and the downfall of oil revenues, is being done everything to protect jobs.
In that regard, he noted that in February was achieved to get the lowest unemployment rates in 20 years.
The head of state added that in Revolution the people is being protected, since public policies are prioritized to provide timely care to the Venezuelan population, and a sample of this is the protection of the right to work.
On the other hand, he stressed that pensions have increased to more than 300,000 new pensioners, noting that Venezuela has achieved a world record with the care of 84% of the population within the age to receive that benefit, which is based on the Minimum salary. He recalled that in 2015 it was increased four times, and so far this year has been made an adjustment already.
Finally, he stressed that, thanks to the Revolutionary Government, the salary of workers has been raised more than 26 times. Thus he said during the broadcast of the program “Contacto con Maduro” (Contact with Maduro) on its 53rd issue, broadcast from Miraflores Palace in Caracas.
