ANC will discuss US sanctions against Venezuela on Tuesday

The President of the ANC, Delcy Rodriguez said this Monday that the plenipotentiary body will debate at its next session on Tuesday, the sanctions imposed by the United States Government to try to financially stifle the Venezuelan people.

“Tomorrow we will have a session in the National Constituent Assembly and there we will approve two communiqués in rejection and repudiating not only the sanctions, but this stateless position of the Venezuelan opposition leadership”, she told the reporters from the Casa Amarilla (Yellow House), seat of the Venezuelan Chancellory in Caracas.

This Sunday, the Venezuelan opposition, through a communiqué, expressed their support for the US economic attacks against Venezuela in which all its trading partners, financiers and US companies or with capital in the United States are prohibited from entering into any agreement with Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), the main business of the Venezuelans.

She explained that the ANC will seek to take measures that can shield the country’s relationship with the international community.

On the economic issue, she said that the ANC is, along with the National Executive, coordinating the measures to be proposed, “in order to lessen the impact of the economic aggression against Venezuela”.

“It is great news that Venezuela is activated in a great debate and constituent process, directed not only to a constitutional renewal, but also to redirect and re-equilibrate our country politically, economically and socially”, she said.
