The Minister for Internal Affairs, Justice and Peace, Néstor Reverol, informed that in the face of the irregular events that occurred Monday in Altamira, Chacao municipality (Miranda), which caused injuries to several people and a deceased by firearm, (the situation is) under investigation and the State authorities will ensure the implacable application of justice to those responsible.
Through his Twitter account @NestorReverol, he indicated that: “As the main hypothesis within the investigation initiated by these facts is presumed the undue and disproportionate use of force”.
In another message he detailed that:” The officers in charge of dispersing violent demonstration have been put at the hands of their unit in order to determine individual responsibility,” and condemned the violence and the insurrectional call made by the Venezuelan opposition to these demonstrations.
“Stop the coup-plotting violence. Only justice and truth will lead us to the definitive Peace that Venezuela wants!”, he wrote.
He stressed that any information will be published immediately, as well as the implacable application of justice to those responsible.
