Venezuela enhances its international profile in the presidency of NAM

Venezuela will assume the presidency of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), in the 17th Summit of the organization to be held from September 13 to 18 in Margarita Island, in Nueva Esparta state, which, according to the internationalist Luis Quintana, validates its international profile, despite the questionings by the right wing.
This meeting “Gives account on the good health that has the Bolivarian Government, the President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduro, and is a validation of a strategy that drew Commander Chavez and which has been crowned with this summit”.
Quintana, who is also a member of the National Training Commission of the PSUV, said that while the international right wing underestimates the leadership of the country in the Latin American integration processes, Venezuela and its Government will become spokespersons of 120 countries in the world until 2019.
Speaking at the “Pueblo Legislador” (Legislator People) program, broadcast by RNV Informative channel, he stressed that the geopolitical importance of this event, the largest organized by Venezuela so far, lies in the representation of 120 countries on three continents that are committed to the pluri-polarity, to a more balanced world , the respect for sovereignty and non-interference in internal affairs.
The NAM “is not a platform of interference between some and another countries, it is not a platform of conflict, it is a platform for cooperation among major topics: overcoming poverty, hunger eradication and the fight against illiteracy”.
