President Maduro reiterates call for national dialogue

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, said that he continues to insist on the call for dialogue to the sectors that oppose the National Constituent Assembly as a way to achieve peace.

“I continue to call to dialogue all sectors that oppose peace, to cease their violent attitude, to disarm their violent groups, to stop assaulting the peaceful life of our people”, said the National President from an encounter with military ensigns at Miraflores Palace.

He stressed that the Venezuelan opposition must understand that: “Come rain, thunder or lightning, on July 30 there will be elections, and in August, we will have a great and powerful National Constituent Assembly”.

The Head of State recalled that the group that today rejects the ANC, are the same ones who in 2014 proposed it as a solution for the country, in order to carry out a coup d’ etat.

He called again on the Venezuelan people to go out to vote for the Constituent Power in order to “build peace and make the necessary changes that the country needs”.

“The battle we are taking today is to guarantee the right of children to grow up in a Homeland of peace, prosperity and power,” he emphasized, while mentioning that today he sent a letter to Pope Francis, to be the mediator with the Venezuelan opposition so they stop the use of children in violent acts.
