In Gazette: Made official State of Exception and Economic Emergency


It was formalized in Official Gazette No. 6,227 the Extraordinary Decree of State of Exception and Economic Emergency, issued by President Nicolas Maduro.
The measure was signed on Friday by the President, a decision he took because of the “Circumstances of social, economic, political, natural and ecological order, which seriously affect the Venezuelan economy”.
This decree will allow the President to dictate the measures he deems appropriate to ensure the stability of the Venezuelans, in all areas. Among the powers are included the authority of the Executive to take steps to ensure that the private productive sector may produce, market and distribute supplies and goods to the population.
It also allows to grant numerous powers to the Local Committees of Supply and Production (CLAP), along with members of the Bolivarian National Armed Force (FANB), police corps and public authorities for the organization, monitoring and maintenance of public order.
