Bolivarian and anti-imperialist character of the National Armed Forces must have constitutional rank

The Minister of People’s Power for Defense, G / J Vladimir Padrino López, proposed on Tuesday that the new Constitution to be drafted by the National Constituent Assembly should confer Constitutional status to the anti-oligarchic, popular, patriotic and anti-imperial character of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces.

The proposal was made during the meeting with the ensigns at the Bicentennial square of Miraflores Palace.

“I think it will be necessary, if it is the will of the people gathered in its constituents, that our Bolivarian National Armed Forces ratify their popular, patriotic, anti-oligarchic and anti-imperial character, so that it is laid and set within the Constitutional text the Bolivarian character of our Armed Forces”, expressed the General in Chief.

He made a call on the young cadets to assume Bolivarianism, as well as the anti-oligarchic character in the framework of the Bicentennial of the birth of the General of the Sovereign People, Ezequiel Zamora.

Padrino López said that the way to the Constituent Assembly represents the best decision made by the Head of State in these times.

“The path that has been called for is the most democratic, the most popular and also the most Chavista one, is the one that you (President Nicolás Maduro) has decided to take calling for a National Constituent Assembly”, he said.
