The President in Charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, received this Wednesday the CEO of Schlumberger Limited, Olivier Le Peuch, at Miraflores Palace in order to formalize a strategic alliance through the signing of an understanding memorandum.
This agreement has as its fundamental purpose to establish new areas of cooperation in the oil and gas sectors, promoting the transfer of cutting-edge technology for the exploration, drilling, and optimization of oil and gas fields in the country.
Schlumberger, recognized as the world’s largest oilfield services company and a global leader in technology for the sector, will contribute its integral capabilities in the development of wells and raw material processing, thus contributing to the national goal of consolidating Venezuela as a global energy powerhouse.
This alliance extends to the country’s mining potential, a sector that also presents a wide range of opportunities under the framework of the Mining Law, thus ratifying the commitment of the National Executive of opening the doors to foreign capital for the responsible use of the vast national riches.
