National Government activates General Staff for the creation of temporary camps

As part of the announcements regarding the social and operational deployment following the earthquakes of June 24, the President in Charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, announced the activation of the General Staff for the creation of temporary camps for those who were affected and lost their homes.

The President assured that the main function of the commission will be to develop and plan actions leading to the construction of housings in a short period of time, in order to provide assistance to the affected families.

The commission will be led by the President of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, and will have as its Executive Secretary the Sectoral Vice President for Social and Territorial Socialism of Venezuela, Héctor Rodríguez. Will also participate in their entirety the Ministries of People’s Power for Habitat and Housing, National Industries and Commerce, and the Sectoral Vice Presidency for Social and Territorial Socialism.

For the special attention to children, the following entities will also participate: the National Council for the Rights of Children and Adolescents (IDENA), the Ministry of People’s Power for Food, the Ministry of People’s Power for Interior Relations, Justice and Peace, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), and the Ministry of People’s Power for Economy and Finance.

Likewise, President Rodríguez announced the participation of the governors of the states La Guaira, Aragua, Miranda, Carabobo, and Falcón, as well as the mayors of Chacao, Vargas, and Caracas, and the head of the Capital District.
