In a ceremony filled with national pride, the President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, presented special awards to the outstanding athletes who represented Venezuela at the Santa Fe 2026 South American Games.
The President expressed her joy and personally congratulated the members of the delegation, highlighting figures such as Julio Mayora and Keydomar Vallenilla, who secured three South American championship titles, as well as the members of the U-17 women’s soccer team, who returned home as champions.
During her speech, the President emphasized the immense value of the results achieved, describing them as a source of deep satisfaction for both the athletes and the Venezuelan people.
«We all brought back good news, and that is the most satisfying thing for you: returning to your homeland and saying, ‘We are champions,’ ‘I won silver,’ ‘I won bronze,’ ‘I had an extraordinary performance,’ ‘I broke a national record,’ ‘I broke a South American record,’ ‘I broke a world record’, and that is what you brought to Venezuela,» stated Rodríguez.
This recognition not only rewards physical excellence and technical discipline but also celebrates the indomitable spirit of those who gave their all on the sports field to place Venezuela’s name at the very top of the continental podium.
