The signing of energy agreements between the government of the United States and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela will generate new jobs and benefits for the country’s working class, as manifested President Delcy Rodríguez during a press conference with national and international media.
The new investments in the energy sector will allow to boost oil production and generate benefits that will extend to areas such as employment, public services, education, health, and infrastructure.
In this sense, Rodríguez reported that they are already in contact with business chambers; also indicated that they are in the process of activating all companies in the oil, metallurgical, and industrial sectors, as well as those in the service, hospitality, and food sectors, «because these large-scale projects will require these services.»
She also highlighted the impact on national infrastructure, emphasizing that the country will witness a transformation in zones where today there is a vast savannah without any kind of development, which will have roads, electricity, water, and other infrastructure.
Furthermore, she stated: “I want workers who earn good wages, I want citizens who go to a well-equipped hospital to receive excellent care, I want an education of quality, and I want the entire social protection system of our people to be strengthened through the benefits we will receive from these investments.”
Also during her address, the Head of State reiterated her call for talented young Venezuelans to return to their country.
The president recalled that “for years we have said that Venezuela has the world’s largest oil reserves, and it’s true.” She also pointed out that countries ranked eighth, ninth, and tenth are the world’s leading exporters, while Venezuela ranks twentieth.
