The Acting President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, emphasized this Monday that during the last meeting of the Agro-Food Sector, it was determined that Venezuela has food reserves for 116 days.
During a productive journey at the Río de Oro processing plant in Baruta, Miranda state, the Acting Dignitary highlighted that all sectors of the country are working on production and guaranteeing the supply of food for the Venezuelan people.
Likewise, she reminded that the country has various food programs for the most vulnerable sectors, so that the Venezuelan people can access products.
“May the prices agreed with national industry be respected, let there not be any speculation against the people of Venezuela. This must be part of the agreements of the economic and social dialogue established by the Program for Democratic Coexistence and Peace,” she added.
During this activity, the Minister for Alimentation, M/G Carlos Leal Tellería, reported that more than 23,000 tons of food are currently distributed weekly through the Open Air Markets.
