Bank of America y Banco Mundial visitarán Venezuela

Delegations from Bank of America and the World Bank plan to visit Venezuela this week

Delegations from Bank of America (BofA) and the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation (IFC) are expected to visit Venezuela this week to assess the public financial sector and learn details regarding a potential restructuring of the country’s external debt, as reported on Monday the news portal “Banca y Negocios” (Band and Business).

This marks the third visit to Venezuela by representatives of the Bank of America in 2026. On this occasion, the delegation will be accompanied by a group of investors holding bonds issued by the Republic and by Petróleos de Venezuela S.A. (PDVSA).

The banking delegates and bondholders are visiting with the aim of inquiring about “potential details regarding the process for restructuring Venezuela’s external debt.”

Moreover, representatives from the IFC, a multilateral organization that promotes the development of private enterprises in emerging markets, plan to establish initial contacts “with domestic companies that are seeking financing for their development and growth.”
