The President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, has instructed the Chancellery and the Office of the Attorney General to initiate the necessary procedures to demand to the Bank of England the return of the gold reserves belonging to the Venezuelan State.
During a meeting of the council of sectoral vice presidents and ministers held at the Miraflores Palace, the dignitary ratified the official stance of the national executive regarding the withholding of the gold assets under custody by the British financial institution.
“I will not stop demanding the Bank of England for the return of our gold. Enough with the excuses,” declared Rodríguez, while reminding the existence of a parliamentary agreement supported by various political sectors, that calls for the return of these assets to the country.
