Pdta. Rodríguez llama a las mujeres a la unidad

President Rodríguez urges women to remain united to build the country

The President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, this Thursday praised the role and prominent standing of the Venezuelan women, to whom she urged to remain united to solidify the construction of a Venezuela that strives to move forward.

This acknowledgment was made during a telephone call with the Secretary-General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, on the occasion of a march honoring «Pink Month», an event organized to raise awareness and promote understanding regarding breast cancer.

“To the Venezuela that wants to move forward, the Venezuela that cannot be stopped by anything. That Venezuela that is called the ‘warrior’ Venezuela is, in essence, the Woman Venezuela. Therefore, from Miraflores, where I am currently working, I send you all a warm embrace; let us continue together. My call to all the women of this country: let us remain together building this Venezuela that will be the Venezuela for the future of our children,” Rodríguez emphasized.

Likewise, she expressed her gratitude for the presence and support of the men who marched alongside “our women—their daughters, with their grandmothers.”

“I want to thank you, because this is the care we owe to our mothers,” she noted.

Furthermore, the head of state acknowledged the courage and resilience of Venezuelan women, who confront difficulties and successfully overcome them.

“Today, Venezuelan women are out in the streets—but they are in the streets to build, to do. The women who reached out to those who lost loved ones in the double earthquake; the women who have overcome, the women who has risen above adversity has stood firm at their homes. Therefore my embrace to the Venezuelan women and to keep working for the future, for hope. I send you a warm embrace; let us continue looking after one another,” she acknowledged.
