The President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, confirmed this Sunday the conclusion of the Second National Popular Consultation 2026 and announced that investment resources «are now ready to be allocated for implementation.»
The national dignitary qualified as extraordinary the participation registered during the event, and highlighted that the decisions rested in the communal circuits and condominium boards.

On Sunday, October 18, citizens from 5,418 communes and communal circuits took part in a direct, participatory, and grassroots-driven electoral process. With a massive mobilization across the entire national territory, were elected projects from among 37,205 initiatives funded directly by the State and chosen by the communities themselves.
«For the first time, condominium boards join our communal circuits to help select the projects needed in their communities,» President Delcy Rodríguez noted later in the afternoon.
The voting process was extended by one hour by the National Electoral Council (CNE) due to the high turnout of voters. The electoral body made available 11,495 voting centers and 12,769 polling stations.
The electoral process prioritized initiatives related to water, road infrastructure, public services, and general infrastructure—with a particular focus on areas affected by the earthquakes that occurred on last June 24.
The deployment of the electoral process had the safeguard of 130,000 personnel from the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) and agencies of citizen security, as part of the «Plan República», with the goal of ensuring the safe and orderly development of a journey that culminated satisfactorily, just as it was announced by President Delcy Rodríguez to the media during a phone call.
