The Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, reaffirmed the organization’s support for the President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, this Wednesday and called for strengthening the unity of Chavismo to face the challenges of the political process:
«Today we face a great challenge: to continue standing with our sister, President Delcy Rodríguez, on all battlefronts—standing with her because it is the strength of the people that gives us the stamina to go the distance,» he expressed at the closing of a rally held in Caracas to commemorate the 14th anniversary of Commander Hugo Chávez’s electoral victory on October 7, 2012.
The leader also called on party militants to remain actively engaged in their tasks and to join forces. «The battle is right here,» as emphasized the party spokesperson.
Cabello noted that this electoral milestone serves as a touchstone for the movement. «May it serve to remind us of Commander Hugo Chávez every day,» he said.
Wednesday’s rally set out from various points in the capital city to commemorate Chávez’s campaign closure on October 4, 2012.
The march concluded at the Corazón de Jesús corner on the Universidad Avenue (downtown Caracas), after a route that took them through the Libertador, Fuerzas Armadas, Urdaneta, Baralt, Lecuna, and Bolívar avenues.
