The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, announced the upcoming challenges of the Olympic activity, highlighting the importance of maintaining competitive continuity.

The Head of State affirmed that the journey toward next year’s Pan American Games has already begun, emphasizing that every international competition offers an invaluable opportunity to gain experience, the learning and the continuous improvement of the Venezuelan athletes.

During a ceremony honoring the delegation that excelled at the 2026 Santa Fe South American Games, the National Dignitary stated: «You are already preparing for the route of the Olympic cycle. The Pan American Games are coming up next year, and I know we will do even better; because as we go out, compete, gain experience, and come together, we are constantly preparing and improving.»

The President noted that the «Olympic dream» is alive among the Venezuelan people. In this context, she urged the strengthening of talent identification programs, recognizing the fundamental importance of Community and National Games as essential showcases for finding, in every corner of Venezuela, that «seed» with the potential of an athlete.

«Where is that seed that has an Olympic dream, who wants to be a great athlete, who wants to be dedicated to discipline and training, with clear goals?» she expressed to inspire those currently are currently pursuing these disciplines.

The goal is clear: it is about making massive the recruitment of talent in order to ensure a robust seedbed that guarantees generational succession and sporting excellence in the long term.
