During a session of the National Economy Council held within the framework of the meeting with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Group, the President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, announced the advance of strategic agreements aimed at securing financing mechanisms to boost the productive sector of the country, and reported that, following discussions with the authorities from the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV), the economy is projected to grow by at least 6.5% in the third quarter of the year.
Rodríguez noted that, with this figure, the Venezuelan economy would sum 22 consecutive quarters of growth, despite the seismic doublet.
Likewise, the President thanked the support by the multilateral financial system in structuring an agenda focused on financing infrastructure and basic services.
In this regard, she highlighted progress made in restoring the National Electric System (SEN) through access to technology and spare-parts suppliers—elements essential for ensuring efficient service delivery to support the country’s economic expansion.
