The President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, shared a message this Sunday focused on environmental preservation and the care of the national ecosystem, following diplomatic and legislative actions aimed at biodiversity conservation.
Through a video posted on her social media accounts, the Head of State stated that «loving nature is caring for life,» after signing an agreement with representatives from India for the protection of wildlife.
The agreement signed with the Vantara Wildlife Rescue, Conservation and Rehabilitation Center in India establishes a framework for technical, scientific, and ethical management cooperation for the protection, conservation, and rehabilitation of wild and domestic animals, as well as promoting projects for the country’s public zoos.
Likewise, the president enacted the Law Approving the Framework Agreement for the Establishment of the International Big Cat Alliance (IBCA). This regulation promotes the conservation of global biodiversity, focusing on seven species threatened by economic exploitation. With this action, Venezuela firmly supports this international initiative, given its vast biological wealth.
Both actions reinforce the national government’s commitment to protecting natural heritage and to international cooperation on environmental matters.
