With the aim of strengthening scientific research and comprehensive risk management in the country, President Delcy Rodríguez announced the subsciption of the Venezuelan Foundation for Seismological Research (Funvisis) with the Ministry of People’s Power for Science and Technology (MINCYT).
This measure seeks to consolidate and optimize the State’s scientific and technical capabilities in the prevention, monitoring, and timely response to seismic events:
«This new arrangement will allow us to continue strengthening research and scientific knowledge in service of the protection of our people,» highlighted the National Dignitary, while also highlighting the importance of putting technological development at the service of the citizens.
With this action, the National Executive aims for a strategic integration between research institutions and public science policies, guaranteeing greater technological tools and specialized resources for generating knowledge to the service of the nation.
