President Delcy Rodríguez held a work meeting with representatives from the business, commercial, and industrial sectors in order to strengthen the strategies of the Electrical Energy Saving Plan in response to the impacts of climate change and the El Niño phenomenon.
During the meeting led by Sectoral Vice President Juan José Ramírez, a telephone call was established with the National Dignitary, who urged the business sector to actively participate by utilizing local resources and international investments, inviting productive sectors to directly oversee and implement contingency plans.
During the meeting, the government representatives emphasized their commitment to adding 600 megawatts (MW) from the Planta Centro power plant by next October 1.
With this alliance between the public and private sectors, the authorities seek to mitigate the effects on the national electricity system, guarantee the stability of public services and safeguard the country’s economic activity.
