President Rodríguez hands over 212 rehabilitated housings in Santa Rosalía parish

President Delcy Rodríguez handed over 212 rehabilitated housings in the Santa Rosalía parish of Caracas, as part of the Venezuela Renace (Venezuela Reborn) Plan, benefiting 983 people who are returning to their homes after the recovery of properties damaged by the earthquakes of last June 24:

“Today is a day of joy because we are returning 212 homes to people, 983 people who are returning to their homes thanks to the Venezuela Renace Plan, thanks to the Venezuela Renace community brigades,” expressed Rodríguez during the event.

Likewise, the dignitary reported that the works of recovery are extending to all affected states, where work is underway on more than 13,000 homes previously enabled by the presidential commission. Furthermore, she noted that these works will allow to benefit approximately 66,000 people, including mothers, children, and senior citizens, who will be able to return to their homes.

Likewise, Rodríguez reported that to date have been carried out 47,369 inspections of homes and infrastructure, including bridges and avenues, in order to determine the level of damage: “Of this number, 58% received a green classification, indicating that they are habitable; 23% were identified with a yellow classification and will be addressed through the Venezuela Renace Plan; while a 19% received a red classification,” she said.

Regarding the structures identified with the red sign, she clarified that this classification does not necessarily imply total loss, since some buildings can be recovered, while others will need to be replaced.

Finally, the Head of State acknowledged the work of the community brigades of the Venezuela Renace Plan and the Presidential Commission, as well as the mayors, governors, and technical teams participating in the recovery of housings.

“We have a project, a distribution plan to address the needs of the affected homes as quickly as possible so that families can return home safely and as soon as possible,” she stated.

The activity had the participation of the president of the Venezuela Renace Plan, Jacqueline Farías; the mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez; and representatives of the Presidential Commission for the Evaluation of Housing Habitability and Infrastructure.
