Faced with current environmental challenges and the imminent arrival of the «Super Niño» phenomenon, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, has instructed the National Economy Council to immediately activate the various sectors of the agro-industry.
The objective is to establish a special production plan that guarantees food security and protects the agricultural production of the country against the climate variations.
«I have asked the National Economy Council to activate the various sectors of the agro-industry to establish a production plan, preserve food production, and protect agricultural production,» she stated to the authorities who participated in the videoconference with governors to coordinate immediate actions regarding the National Electric System (SEN).
The president stressed that the current moment is one of «absolute preparation,» urging authorities and productive sectors to anticipate the effects of climate change, without waiting for extreme conditions to impact the territory.
