“The worst of the global propaganda operators wanted to create in Venezuela a party of blood, of death. They didn’t achieve it, and they won’t succeed,” said Diosdado Cabello, host of the “Con el Mazo Dando”(Hitting with the hammer) program this Wednesday, regarding the behavior of international pseudo-journalists who attempted to exploit the tragedy caused by the earthquakes of June 24.
“Throughout the program, I will make some kind of recount of everything they tried to spread, and the resounding response we gave to them, that the Venezuelan people has given to them, with the truth, because there is nothing more powerful than the truth, and there is no way to stop it with a prepared script,” commented Cabello, who is also the Minister of People’s Power for Interior Relations, Justice, and Peace, while rejecting the lies and fake news that were disseminated about the government’s response to the current seismic emergency.
Cabello denounced that these allegedly journalistic reports from international media outlets and so-called influencers sought to turn victims who lost family members, homes, and suffered personal injuries into battering rams or spearheads against the Bolivarian Government.
“They’re trying to get these people to become and make the politicking they haven’t been able to implement, because they’re inept despite having had the support they’ve received,” manifested Cabello, referring to the money behind this failed media campaign against the immediate aid efforts that was deployed and which continue to be implemented to assist more than 20,000 families in the Temporary Camps.
“But, as I say, there’s nothing more powerful than the truth; the truth is revolutionary, without a doubt, and it comes to light, it surfaces on its own, and for 21 days now, we’ve been out there, helping in something,” he added.
To mess with the people’s pain:
Rejecting the notion that the media operatives were trying to make believe the people was abandoned in this time of grief, Cabello asserted that the photo that took these «scoundrels, wretches, and hyenas,» as he called them, was solely to further their own interests. «As if the people’s needs were just for a day, as if that photo was of them and their egos.»
«To mess with the pain of someone who still has hope for a family member’s life, just to take advantage of a political advantage, really? Those miserable scoundrels are in a state of rotten morally, are capable of doing what they did against this people,» Cabello rebuked.
He invited to review history and newspaper archives to verify that in no other country of the world has occurred such excessive media manipulation: “None, absolutely no one has had to endure, after a natural disaster like the one we experienced in Venezuela, the media attacks of these packs, these hyenas of pain, of sorrow. They are the worst we can imagine.”
Finally, he recalled that Commander Hugo Chávez created a school of thought to support and back the entire people, and he gave a historical warning about what the enemies of the Bolivarian Revolution and of Venezuela are capable of.
“There you are with your conscience, there you are with your conscience, we will continue going forward with this people,” he concluded, in a direct message to the propagandists who left the country without achieving any of their goals with their fake news.
