Members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) will receive “Heroes and Heroines of Venezuela” decoration for their performance

The President in Charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, announced that all members of the Task Force will receive the “Hero and Heroine of Venezuela” decoration as an act of strict justice and moral recognition for their selfless efforts during these two weeks of emergency following the earthquake of June 24.

During a meeting of gratitude held on the central coast, the dignitary praised the troops’ courage, stating: “On June 24, the day of our Bolivarian Army, commemorating the historic battle that sealed Venezuela’s independence, we had to face such a tragedy as the double earthquake of that day. And here came our Bolivarian National Armed Forces from that very moment. You came here to help those most in need, with a renewed spirit of our Bolivarian National Armed Forces, which means being sons and daughters of Simón Bolívar, not being indifferent to the suffering of others.”

On her condition as Commander-in-chief, the Head of State in Charge acknowledged the humanitarian deployment and the selflessness of the military personnel who immediately came to protect the affected families:

“As Commander-in-chief, who ordered your deployment, I want to thank you and recognize that you already have the title of Hero and Heroine of Venezuela for your work, for your performance, you who have not rested, I know, for two weeks of tireless work,” stated President Delcy Rodríguez, while reaffirming the deep historical roots that guide the doctrinal course of the military institution: “That is the path of our Bolivarian National Armed Forces. It is the path that Bolívar left us when he crossed borders to go liberate nations.”
