Commission for habitability begins mass inspection of structures in affected zones

The inspection of structures in the affected zones of the country has begun with the participation of various national institutions. This work starts after the training of more than 2,800 specialists, who will use instruments certified by the National Government to create a robust database.

The president of the Presidential Commission for the Evaluation of Housing and Infrastructure Habitability, Francisco Garcés, stated that this first stage will also include mapping for the classification using the traffic light system, which will help determine the planning and approach for carrying out the work.

This evaluation will facilitate the identification of specific requirements regarding machinery, materials, and qualified personnel, which will ensure an optimal response to the needs detected in each project.

The also Minister of People’s Power for Transportation indicated that has also been evaluated road infrastructure, airports, and other spaces to determine their operational readiness.

Finally, he noted that foreign teams will join the labors of inspection of spaces, not only in the case of housings, but also in the national infrastructure.
