Within the framework of immediate response to the emergency caused by the recent earthquakes in the country, the President in Charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, announced via her account on Telegram that she held high-level telephone conversations with the dignitaries of Spain, Costa Rica and Palestine, who expressed their profound solidarity and the full support of their people and governments for Venezuela.
During her conversation with the President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, she received official condolences for the loss of lives registered. Sánchez reiterated his country’s full readiness to provide immediate technical support in: search and rescue operations, operations of survivors rescue, and direct assistance to the affected communities.
These assistance efforts will be coordinated and implemented jointly through the General Staff and the relevant Venezuelan authorities.
Likewise, the President of the Republic of Costa Rica, Laura Fernández, contacted the dignitary in Charge to convey a message of support to the Venezuelan people during this difficult time. Fernández expressed her condolences to the victims and reaffirmed the Costa Rican government’s commitment to cooperate at various levels, offering humanitarian assistance and support through inter-institutional coordination mechanisms to mitigate the impact of the tragedy.
For his part, the President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, extended a message of brotherhood and reassurance to the families affected by the earthquakes. Abbas conveyed words of peace and strength, reaffirming the historic bonds of brotherhood, solidarity, and mutual respect that unite both nations in times of hardship.
The President in Charge expressed her gratitude for these gestures of international solidarity, which reaffirm the world’s support for Venezuela and strengthen the logistical and human resources deployed within the country to protect and assist our people.
