President in Charge Delcy Rodríguez makes a call for spiritual unity and convenes for a national prayer

At the close of her report regarding the earthquake emergency, the President in Charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, made a call for the spiritual unity of the country and urged citizens to cooperate with public order to facilitate the deployment of rescue teams.

The dignitary in charge, through a telephone contact to the Venezolana de Televisión TV station, urged the public to remain calm while the affected areas are being attended.

As an act of solidarity with the victims and their families, she called for a national journey of prayer, without any distinction of faith: «I want to make a call for today at 7:00 pm for an ecumenical prayer wherever we may be. Whatever our faith, let us pray that we may rescue alive those who are trapped under roofs, homes, and buildings,» she manifested.

Likewise, she expressed her confidence in the country’s resilience in the face of this emergency, sending a message of faith and social cohesion to the citizenry: «I call on everyone, let us join our hearts in prayer. I know that we will emerge strengthened and more united than ever,» she affirmed during the telephone contact.

Likewise, she issued safety guidelines for the population, emphasizing the importance of not overcrowding public roads: «To the people of Venezuela, do remain calm and stay in your homes, those whose housing infrastructure is not compromised, so that we can facilitate the rescue efforts for those who are still trapped.»

Finally, she reminded everyone that reports of structural damage should be submitted through official channels to optimize the deployment of technical assessment teams and rescue equipment.
