Diosdado Cabello: Venezuela will not be tutored from the Vatican


The first Vice Psresident of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, said this Monday that Venezuela will bot be tutored from the Vatican, and denied that Pope Francis had sent a letter to the National President in order to urge him to comply with the Agreements of the dialogue table.
“The Pope has not sent any letter, the one who sent a letter was Pietro Parolin. It is disrespectful, irresponsible … to believe that from the Vatican they are going to tutor Venezuela … we do not accept anyone’s tutelage. Mr. Parolin is assuming the positions of the Venezuelan right wing, he who also has had frequent meetings with the right wing”, he said from Anzoátegui state, where he participated in an event to commemorate the 202 years of the Battle of Urica.
He recalled that the role of the Vatican in the talks is to be “a facilitator, which has no right to veto, proposals or inclinations towards any sector.”
