The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela predicted on Monday that 2017 will be “The first year of the new history of the Venezuelan economy.”
During a meeting with the economic team in order to evaluate the nation’s Mining Development Plan, Maduro said that 2016 “Is the first year of the end of the capitalist oil rentier, dependent model, and we are resisting the blows of the farewell of that model that is saying goodbye”, he said.
The Venezuelan Head of State emphasized that 2017 will be the first year of the start of the engines of the new post-rentier economic model of productive socialism, integrating development for the well-being of the living by living of the Venezuelans.
He highlighted the birth of the Great Mission Sovereign Supply during 2016, as “the greatest instrument the Bolivarian Revolution has ever had, to build the new productive model in these 17 years.”
“This 2016, we saw the birth of the Great Mission Sovereign Supply, there are more than 800 companies integrated in the three engines: agro-alimentary, pharmaceutical and industrial.”
He also stressed that the Local Supply and Production Committees (CLAP) were also born in 2016 “as a miracle of the People’s Power, to address the crisis that has impacted the people as a result of the economic war.”
