Caracas Mayor’s Office assists families affected by rainfalls

The Mayor’s Office of Caracas reported a balance of 22 families affected during the last 24 hours in the Venezuelan capital as a result of the heavy rainfalls that have been registered throughout the national territory.

This was reported on Tuesday night by the mayor of the Libertador municipality, Carmen Meléndez, during an inspection of the Macarao parish, in which she was accompanied by the head of the Capital District Government, Nahum Fernández.

She stressed that the affected families have been transferred to safe places and have been given supplies of food and equipment.

On the other hand, she specified that they are collecting all the sediments in La Yaguara and in the different highways that were affected by the rainfalls.

For his part, the head of the Government Nahum Fernández reported that no less than 123 teams have been deployed in each of the Caracas ravines.
