«We are very happy because we have obtained a good victory in the Council of the United Nations,» said on Thursday the President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduro, from Miraflores Palace.
The First National President expressed his thankfulness to the countries who supported Venezuela to the Council of Human Rights at the UN, where 82% of the vote disagreed with a statement that was intended to be imposed from Paraguay and the US Government.
«There were 88 votes against 29, and a statement was adopted, rather of support to the concept of human rights in Venezuela, is a great victory,» he said.
