Sudeban develops incorporation of cryptocurrency operations into the national banking system

The Superintendency of Banking Sector Institutions (Sudeban) and the National Superintendence of Cryptoassets and Related Activations (Sunacrip) presented this Tuesday to the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV), the Ministry of Economy and Finance and institutions of public and private banking a roadmap to incorporate operations in cryptocurrency to the national banking system.
Among the proposals of the Sudeban and Sunacrip is the need for a “strategic partnership between authorized exchange houses and banking institutions to get potential customers, as well as defining the guidelines for a joint resolution authorizing the hybrid points of sale to carry out payments in cryptocurrencies”, said the Superintendency of Banks in a press release.
Both institutions presented a series of digital tools that will facilitate the acquisition of the Petro cryptocurrency. They made known the PetroAhorro, a mechanism that will work through the Patria system and will give the opportunity to the users to support their income in Petro. In addition, PetroPago is used to pass payments to legal persons.
They also presented PetroApp, a multi-currency wallet that allows users to reliably perform transactions in cryptocurrencies.
The Sudeban and Sunacrip will soon hold meetings with the technical teams of the banking institutions to evaluate the progress of the mentioned roadmap.
