Territory of peace! More than 18,000 firearms have been rendered useless this year

The Minister for Interior, Justice and Peace, M / G Nestor Luis Reverol, reported that so far this year have been rendered useless 18,294 weapons in the country
From the Andres Bello Avenue of Caracas, where this Thursday were rendered useless 561 firearms of different calibers, Reverol said: “We wanted to propitiate across the country the culture of disarmament, thus a total of 1,130 people have collaborated with the voluntary surrender of arms. Has started a big journey for disarmament, this helps to make the country a place of peace. ”
In Caracas was held the delivery of 80 incentives (white line household goods), to citizens who collaborated with the delivery of weapons to remove them from circulation. there were delivered 2 microwave ovens, 10 televisions, 10 stoves, 17 refrigerators, 15 tablets and 26 washing machines.
Ballistics Identification System:
The head of Interior, Justice and Peace, also said the Ballistics Identification System will be established, with an equipment of the latest generation: “This equipment is top technology for scientific and criminal investigation.”
“In the coming weeks we will have a machine for laser marking of ammunition, that will allow the cartridge to have a coding, in addition to the allocation of a special code for each security force”, he said.
