The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, urged the Government of the United States (US) to lift the sanctions against Venezuela, measures that have been imposed with the aim of changing its internal and external policy, and give in to American expectations.
In this sense, the President asserted that if the US removes the remaining sanctions against Venezuela, the Government guarantees that «no migrant will leave the country again, and those who are still outside will return to work in their Nation.»
During his speech on his Con Maduro + program, in the “Zona Digital” segment, the head of State celebrated the arrival of the Venezuelans who are being repatriated this Monday, for which he expressed: “Be welcome all Venezuelans who are returning to their homeland, with the Plan Vuelta a la Patria (Return to the Homeland Plan). We are going to return you all indeed with dignity so that you can come to your country to work”.
As an important point of the obstacles from which Venezuela has emerged unscathed, the Dignitary recalled that through sanctions Venezuela had a loss of 99% of its income, which is why he asked: “What country can bear to lose this amount of income?”, justifying that perhaps because of this situation some chose to go to other countries and look for another source of income to help their families.
In this sense, the President expressed his joy and said that now Venezuela welcomes them “to return and join with love, because they are our compatriots”.
To conclude, he quoted a phrase from the Liberator Simón Bolívar: «Patience and more patience,» as a way of referring to the different situations in which Venezuela has emerged triumphant.
