Through a televised link by the State channel (VTV), from the Maiquetía International Airport, Simón Bolívar, President Nicolás Maduro, and the Minister of Popular Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, welcomed the first group of 95 Venezuelans returning to Venezuela, from the United States, through the Plan Vuelta a la Patria (Return to the Homeland Plan), unique in the world and consolidated as part of the achievements of the Bolivarian Diplomacy of Peace:
«The first plane from Venezuela’s flagship airline Conviasa has just landed, to bring this first group safely, lovingly, appropriately, and with dignity,» said President Maduro, highlighting the importance of this initiative to «reunify the Venezuelan family in the new stage of building stability, peace, and prosperity.»
For his part, Minister Cabello, who was present at the airport, shared details about the arrival of the compatriots and stressed that this return takes place within the framework of an «open, direct dialogue» between the Venezuelan government and that of the United States, which has allowed the first Venezuelans to resume their journey home.
Cabello also highlighted the protocols established to guarantee the immediate attention of the returnees.
«The instruction you have given is (to give) immediate attention, reception, and medical examination,» he indicated.
Likewise, the head of this ministry detailed that 95 people arrived on this first flight and a second flight with 95 more is expected; “With all the security measures, with all the necessary support, guaranteeing all the medical check-ups,” he added.
President Maduro stressed: “All the protocols are already established for the reception, for the health check-up.”
Humane treatment of compatriots:
In this sense, he indicated that humane and humane treatment will be provided to all returnees, remembering that “this is the Homeland of all of you”. In addition, he emphasized the effort made by the government to bring his compatriots, mentioning that “it is a tremendous effort that we make. These are resources that have been invested to bring our brothers.”
President Maduro criticized the disinformation campaigns on social networks, which caused men and women to migrate from the nation, and stated:” The one who guarantees that all migration returns to Venezuela is the Bolivarian Revolution.”
Plan Vuelta a la Patria: unique in the world.
“It is the only plan in the world, there is no plan anywhere in the world that goes to look for its migrants, gives them affection, reintegrates them, loves them, desires their return,” said President Maduro after emphasizing that everything the fascists offer is a deception.
“They created, because they asked for sanctions, they supported the coyotes, they created the conditions for migration and then they wanted to make the false offer of their return.”
The Head of State added that sectors of the opposition have exaggerated the number of migrants, and turned the migration crisis into a lucrative business:
“They talked about 8 million migrants, almost emptying Venezuela,” he said, pointing out that organizations such as USAID benefited economically from this situation, enriching the so-called “coyotes” and mafias involved in human trafficking.
The president also called for international cooperation to dismantle these criminal networks.
He proposed establishing a level of intelligence and police cooperation with other countries in the region, from Mexico to Colombia, to address the problem of human trafficking and coyotes operating in the migration context.
