The National Electoral Council (CNE) informed the country through a statement on Tuesday that it has been in permanent session since Friday, January 17, in order to plan the next elections that will be held in the country in this 2025.
In this sense, the electoral body announced that the date and schedule for the first constitutional election to be held in Venezuela have already been defined:
«We want to inform our entire population that we have already defined the date and schedule for the first of these constitutional elections, and in the next few hours we will announce the date, will convene for the election and immediately activate the events of the electoral schedule,» reads part of the text.
He also recalled that voting this year will focus on three constitutional elections: those for governors and regional legislative councils, elections for mayors and municipal councils, elections for deputies of the National Assembly; as well as the six consultations on Communal Power projects; the latter will begin on February 2. It is expected that in the next few hours the CNE authorities will release more details at a press conference.
