Venezuela rejects G7 statement on Venezuelan electoral process

The Chancellor of the Republic, Yván Gil, shared on his Telegram channel a statement in which Venezuela categorically rejects the absurd statement, on the Venezuelan electoral and political process, issued by the G7. In the letter, it is described as a «group of powers that insists on believing itself to be the arbiter of global democracy while covering up its own political, economic and moral failures, supporting genocides and encouraging the spread of Nazi and fascist ideology in Europe and the world.»

«It is particularly ironic that these same countries, which made the most resounding fool of themselves in 2019 by recognizing an impostor as interim president, now seek to give lessons on popular will and electoral processes,» as indicates part of the text.

He also points out that the G7 is trying, from the colonialist and imperialist complex, “to prepare the ground to disown the institutions and decisions of the Venezuelan people with the fantasy of a Guaidó 2.0 that will once again crash against the dignity of the heirs of Simón Bolívar. We warn the G7 countries that this interventionist and arrogant attitude will not go unanswered.»

«Venezuela will proceed to comprehensively review its relations with each of the governments that make up this group, because respect for national sovereignty is not negotiable. History has already shown that the Bolivarian people will not accept any more tutelage. Venezuela is free, and will continue to be so, no matter how much it hurts those who have not overcome their imperial complexes,» he said.
