The vice president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, arrived this Wednesday in Moscow, capital of the Russian Federation, to participate in the Russian Energy Week.
According to a publication by the senior official on her Telegram channel, the Russian Energy Week is a key event that seeks to showcase Russia’s potential in this sector and address the challenges of the industry and expand international cooperation. This meeting is a platform to discuss and promote energy initiatives that benefit the participating countries:
“On behalf of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, we bring the voice of the people of Venezuela with the aim of strengthening energy cooperation, in a multipolar world that is advancing against hegemonic powers,” highlighted Rodríguez in her message.
Bilateral relations between Venezuela and Russia date back to 2000, when President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and Commander Hugo Chavez met for the first time during the 55th session of the UN General Assembly. Since then, both countries have maintained a close and collaborative relationship.
